For your convenience, here are answers to commonly asked questions about Tropicana Aruba.

General Questions

  • How far away is Tropicana Aruba from the beach?

    We are about five minutes walking distance to the beach. You can request a shuttle at the Bell Stand.
  • Does Tropicana Aruba offer chairs and shade to their guests?

    We have beach chairs and palapas on the beach for our guests on a first come, first serve basis. The chairs and palapas are free to use for our guests and the Eagle Beach is a public beach as are all beaches on Aruba.
  • What is the check-in time? Can I get an early check-in?

    Check-in time is 4:00PM. You are welcome to check with the Front Desk upon your arrival to see if accommodations are available. An early check in fee may be applied. If your room is not ready yet upon your arrival you may leave your luggage with the bell men to hold in the mean time.
  • What is the check-out time? Can I get a late check-out?

    Check-out time is at 11:00AM. Late check-out is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed up front. Please consult the Front Desk to see if you may stay longer in your room. If a late check-out is possible the late check-out fee of $70 applies.
  • Does the resort require a security deposit?

    We require a $200 security deposit upon arrival. This is usually done as a credit card hold on your credit card or you may do a cash deposit. Security Deposit holds on credit cards will release 10-14 business days after check-out. The length of release time is based on your credit card company. Debit cards may take longer to release the hold.
  • What is the minimum age required to check in?

    Guest must be 21 years of age to check in and must present valid passport to check in.
  • Are there hair dryers, iron and ironing board in the room?

    Yes, all of our rooms come equipped with these items.
  • Will my room have a kitchen?

    All of our rooms are suites and have a kitchenette equipped with a full-sized fridge, two-burner stove top and a microwave.
  • Do you have Smoking rooms?

    All of our rooms are non-smoking and should there be evidence of smoking in your room you will incur a minimum deep cleaning fee of $250 charged to your account. Smoking is permitted on the balcony/patio.
  • Do you have restaurants on the property?

    We have the Double Down Sports Bar and Grill located in our casino and Uncle Tony's Pizza in the middle of our courtyard, both serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can access the menus here.
  • Is Tropicana Aruba an all-inclusive resort? Do you offer meal plans?

    No, we’re not an all-inclusive resort but we have different meal plans that you may add to your reservation. We offer breakfast, breakfast & lunch, breakfast & dinner or breakfast, lunch & dinner options. For pricing prior to arrival please consult our reservations office at [email protected] or at our toll free number 888-817-5735 or if you’re on property please pass by the front desk.
  • Do you offer Daily Pass? What does the Daily Pass entail?

    Yes, we offer daily passes for visitors of our guests, from 10:00AM to 6:00PM, for $25.00 per adult per day and $15.00 per child between ages 0-11 per day. Our daily passes allow visitors to enjoy our resort amenities including pools, gym and beach services (palapas and beach chairs). One beach towel is provided per visitor and a refundable deposit of $25.00 is required, this will be returned after beach towel has been returned.
  • Do you have baby cribs and high chairs available?

    Yes, we have high chairs and baby cribs available upon request. There is a $5 nightly charge for the baby crib. Please request these up front by sending an email to [email protected]
  • What forms of payment are accepted?

    We accept Cash, Maestro Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. For reservations with more than three weeks notice we also accept PayPal and bank wire transfers.
  • How far away is the nearest supermarket?

    We’re a stone’s throw away from Superfood, the largest groceries store on the island. Superfood is about five minutes walking distance from the resort but please note that you will need to cross a busy street to get there. We implore our guests to exercise caution when crossing the street and to cross at the intersection.
  • Do you offer special discounts?

    Yes, please visit our “Special Offers” tab to find out more.
  • How do I know if my room is renovated?

    To ensure a renovated room you’ll need to book a Premium suite. If you already booked a Standard suite but would like to upgrade please send an email to [email protected] for availability and pricing.
  • I have a special request

    You can make a special request by email to [email protected] Please note that bed type preference and other requests are noted but are not guaranteed and will be honored on a space-available basis.
  • Do children stay for free?

    Children under the age of twelve may stay for free if the maximum occupancy of the room type is not exceeded. Maximum number of guests in a One Bedroom suite is 4. Two Bedroom suites sleep six and Three Bedroom suites sleep 8 total. Rollaway beds are available at an additional charge of $25.00 per day.
  • Are pets allowed?

    Pets are not permitted.
  • How many people can stay in my room?

    Maximum number of guests in a One Bedroom suite is four; Two Bedroom suites sleep six and Three Bedroom suites sleep eight total. Usually our prices are based on double occupancy and there will be a charge of $24.80 per person per day charge for a third and fourth person in the room. Rollaway beds are available at an additional charge of $25.00 per day.
  • I’m interested in booking a large group, do you offer group rates?

    Groups of 10 rooms or more please call 888-817-5735 and ask for the Reservations Supervisor or fill out the group request form here.
  • How much are the taxes that I’ll need to pay?

    Room rates are based on double occupancy and length of stay and are subject to a 24% room tax plus $3.50 government/environmental fee per day per room. Early departures will result in additional fees applied at check out.
  • What is the voltage and what type of electrical socket do you have at the resort?

    The voltage is 110V and the type of socket is the USA type B 3-pins compatible with USA type A and B plugs.


  • Do you have a free shuttle?

    We work with De Palm Tours to provide this service for $16 round trip per person. Children below the age of three may travel for free. To book the transfers we’ll need your arrival time, flight number and airline you’re traveling with and also indicate how many people you’ll need the transfers for. Please send these details along with your phone number to [email protected] and we will book your transfers for you, or click here to fill out a request form.
  • Do we need to bring our own beach towels?

    No, we have beach towels for our guests. Upon arrival you’ll receive a Towel Card with which you can retrieve beach towels at the Towel Hut. Once per day you may exchange your used towels for fresh ones. There is a $25.00 charge for lost towels.
  • Is there an ATM machine on property?

    Yes, the ATM is located in the casino.
  • Will my room get cleaned every day?

    It depends on your reservation type. If you booked a regular rental you will receive daily housekeeping service in your room. If you’re coming as a timeshare, whether this is as a timeshare owner’s guest or through Interval International, the housekeeping will replace towels and toilet papers daily in addition to taking out the trash but the room will receive full service only once per week.
  • I want to request an amenity for an upcoming reservation

  • Do you have free parking?

    Yes, we have free parking for our guests. Please request a parking permit at the Front Desk during your check-in.
  • Does the Tropicana have a car rental on site?

    Yes, we work with Hertz who has their desk on property in the arrivals hall. You can reach them at [email protected]
  • Is there a gym?

    Yes, our cardio and fitness center features True Fitness Technology Inc. equipment, including treadmills, elliptical bikes, upright bikes, recumbent bikes and a three-arm workout station. The gym is open from 6:00AM – 9:00PM.

TropAdvantage member

  • I’m a Gold, Black or Platinum member and I’m entitled to comp nights

    Indeed, as a TropAdvantage Gold, Black or Platinum member you’re entitled to comp nights which can be used at our Aruba location. Please contact your host at your home casino to request your reservation.
  • I received a promotion to view your timeshares

  • I’m a member but I don’t know my TropAdvantage tier level or number

Vacation Ownership

  • I’m a timeshare owner, how do I access the owner’s site?

  • I’m interested in purchasing vacation ownership with Tropicana

  • I return every year to the property. Do you have a storage for my personal items?

    Yes, we have on-site storage for our guests and owners. The prices are $25 per year for a 30-gallon bin. You may also purchase a bin at the Member Relations Office for $30 (one-time fee). You may also store other items such as bicycles for $35 per bicycle per year, beach chairs for $10 per chair per year and coolers for $10 per cooler per year.   • When are the 2018 Maintenance Fees due?
